It’s been a year.
Rancho la Gloria Margarita Wine
Well, friends, it’s been a hot minute since I’ve posted here. In fact, it’s been about 9 months, since I last posted. It’s been about 10 months since I lost my job. It’s been about 12 months since COVID closures started.
It’s been a year.
The last 3/4 of 2020 were among the most disruptive, tumultuous, and anxiety filled months that many of us can remember. Millions lost jobs, millions got sick and recovered, hundreds of thousands did not recover. For our family, the disruptions were hard, but not nearly to the scale that many others experienced. We spent more time together, grew together, learned together, and loved together.
Personally, 2020 was filled with anxiety and stress, but also with pride and joy and happiness. After losing my job in May, I took the leap that I’d been thinking about for a while, partnered with another PT, and started a new company. We went against the grain, thought outside the box, and we’re aiming to change the way PT is delivered to the community.
As a family, we also started some new traditions. We watched LOTS of movies, and now we always have movie night on Friday and Saturday night. And hubs and I always have Margaritas on Sunday evening. He makes the most DELICIOUS margaritas.
On non-Sundays, or when the urge for a margarita strikes and I don’t feel like putting the effort in to hand squeezing limes, I open up my trusty bottle of Rancho la Gloria Margarita Wine. I always have a large bottle on hand. You guys, this stuff is soooo good. It’s sweet, but not too sweet. Packs a punch, but isn’t overwhelming. I’m telling you. So good. It’s perfect on a hot day. Makes yard work easier. Goes just right with a walk around the block with a cranky toddler who insists on being buckled in to the stroller, but only until the buckle clicks at which point he never actually wanted to be buckled in and you’re definitely torturing him. It’s maybe the perfect adulting drink.
At least until Sunday, when it will be margarita day again.
